I just bought a chop saw and table saw to add to my collection.
Not that I use them. I just stand around imagining chicks using 'em. Really. It's better that way.

I always wanted to have a house with a big room in the basement, to have a bunch of wood cutting tools.
Almost like my High school wood shop class. I can almost smell the Cedar wood..

I will have to host a Chick's with Power Tools weekend.

We'll set up a bunch of woodworking and welding tools and a big pile of materials, and let you ladies go to town.

          Now THAT's a good weekend!

The wood I could get you for free. The space however I cannot. I build for various theatres in the area and all the major ones throw out wood like they have a sawmill on the roof. So maybe check out with the shop foreman at any theatres in your area. I'm sure they'll be happy to give you the wood so they dont have to call for dumpster pickup so soon. I framed my shop/extra garage with 2x4's from the Kennedy Center. Skinned it with some ribbed plywood panneling and put some tar paper up for a couple hundred dollars and that was mostly for the concrete (floor and footings).

Hilti gun, hurricane straps and 5 pounds of stainless steel wood screws later my garage is sturdier than some of the pre-fab sh*te they are slapping up and calling houses.
