quick rant-
aargh! every boyfriend I've had uses my tools and never puts them back OR tries keep them and pretend they are his.

one boyfriend chizzled (sp?) his initials into my cool old hammer, broke my drill and never replaced it. last night, I found that my current boyfriend stole my phillips and flathead "to keep in his bike bag, so we'd know where it is" as if looking in my tool box for my tools is unusual.

bother.

hm, try this: get him a set for a gift. bday, annivers, whatever. Tell him how you noticed he really likes using yours and thought he would love a set of his own. the thoughtful gf you are ;)

yeah, I've tried getting him (my current bf) his own tools, but for some reason all tools end up in his room.

I think getting the neon pink or flowery ended tools might be a good idea.

have you guys seen the flowery handled 4 in one tools at Walgreens? Pretty!

    I AGREE!!
Every man I've ever dated as well as worked for has also never been able to put the tools back where they're supposed to be!
I find it so frustrating to be working on a project and have to spend an hour looking for my tools because someones too lazy to put them back...Off with their heads!

    • every man I have dated I let know that if you touch my tools and don't put them back you are soooo gone. When I got married I got a really big toolbox that has a lock on it...hee hee hee...try and get to my tools now!

now where did I put my key?
      • Megan, you're hilarious!

well, ditto the put em back. I live with my brother, who's not only a guy he's a Virgo, which I've come to find means he can be such a slob but totally picky about certain things. I wish the pickiness was in the putting things back department. Actually, he's getting better about it, and it is his house and his garage so I don't complain...i'm trying to gently help him create an organizational system that makes sense to both of us (that's the trouble; HE can remember where everything is in the piles of crap...and I'm learning that if something isn't where I think it 'should' be, I just visualize what kind of a project it could be used for and go on a tour of the place, usually find said tool right where he stopped using it.)

so I have my own tools for working on my car.
