Thu, June 8, 2006 - 7:32 PMImpact wrench!!! I used one while changing the timing belt to my Subaru. The harmonic balancer (crankshaft pulley) is a tough bolt to crack...and put back on.
I and the person supervising this endeavor also made some of our own tools (for the "Use special tools" portion of the repair) using junk metal around the house. Metalworkers are nifty folks.
